“Lunisolar Reckoning 1” by The Fair Attempts

This cover is special for several reasons, but one is that it’s for the first installment of a 2-part EP. The main reason it’s special, though, is how well it captures the symbolism and the meaning of the title “Lunisolar Reckoning”. The sun and the moon, orbits, rotation, and cycles are all significant themes in The Fair Attempts’ music.
For the covers of the double EP, I didn’t want to include a sun and a moon in the same image, so I found a creative way to suggest them in the form of an otherworldly eye. The eye stares down the man who must face his reckoning—the consequences or fallout of a relationship (not necessarily interpersonal).
In the music, the sun and moon symbolize relationships, and both parts of the double EP are about the relationships and struggles of characters in my “Machine Dreaming” novel series. (The first book is already available.) All our music is connected with the fictional World of The Fair Attempts written about in the series, and also has a universal meaning for listeners to related to in their own ways.
“Lunisolar Reckoning 1” is heavier than its counterpart and leans more toward the Industrial Rock side of TFA.
